Today Year 5 enjoyed a wonderful Mass with Fr Neil, their parents and visiting students from other classes. Their theme was Mission and after a thought provoking introduction they led us all in some sorry prayers to think about the times that we have not done what God has asked of us. After the readings were read beautifully and the boys and girls had sung the “Alleluia” they listened to the Gospel which was then explained further in a drama reflection that the students had prepared. They showed that we should always try to do the right thing rather than make excuses and Fr Neil gave them some ideas of how they could do that in school. Mass then continued with the bidding prayers that the children had prepared and after some wonderful singing during Communion they led everyone in some prayers about the many things that we have to be thankful for. It was a lovely celebration and the children had worked very hard to prepare for it, well done!
