Last week sixty students in Year 10 embarked on a retreat to the Briars in the Derbyshire dales for what was a brilliant time! We had the joy of experiencing wonderful new bedrooms and building renovations, delicious food, great company and the opportunity to deepen our relationship with God as we continue our journeys through Lent.
Over the retreat, we journeyed with Jesus through the wilderness as we took on challenges, games, prayer stations, a walk in the countryside, sing-songs, a Celebration of Mass, the briars quiz-disco and finally we completed our retreat by building one another with kind affirming words.
Our young people were bold, creative, enthusiastic and inspiring and we really hope that one day they will be leading our youth through these brilliant experiences on the Briars team themselves!
Thank you year 10 for a brilliant week and we hope you’ll treasure these memories forever – you can see some of the photos from our retreat in the slideshow below! As well as a sneak peak at the new renovations at The Briars…
