Awe and wonder is an amazing gift of the Holy Spirit. It’s the ability to see the incredible things God has created and not take them for granted. How easy is it for us to get bored and stop appreciating how lucky we are to have a beautiful world, an amazing school and people who love us? This week try and look again at those things which maybe you don’t fully appreciate. How can you celebrate what is really awesome in your life?!

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

This week’s Word of the Week video is truly awesome! It is shot in 2 different countries and includes: students from Ys 7 to Y13, staff and even the Bishop – sit back and enjoy!

What awesome things are you celebrating this week?

How will you make the last few days of term awesome?

We end by making the Sign of the Cross.

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

As it tells us in the scripture, each of us is made in God’s own image.

So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female,

God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased. Evening passed and morning came—that was the sixth day.

Genesis 1: 27, 31

This song celebrates how awesome our God is and as we celebrate we should also celebrate how awesome we are!

As you listen to this song pass your planner around your form and, using the first page of the summer holidays, fill in all of the things that are awesome about the people in your tutor group! Remember to use positive words that will build people up and celebrate their awesomeness!

Lord we thank you for the friends and staff that we have shared our year with. Thank you for all of the awesome qualities you have given us.

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

The last day of term is finally here!

Today is an opportunity to gather together and to celebrate everything that has been awesome about this year!

Each form is being asked to prepare their reflections on what has been awesome throughout the year so that we can bring these ideas together during our Final Liturgy today.

Look at the information below to see which part of the school year your House has been allocated to. Each form needs to prepare a few lines that reflect what has been awesome for your year group during that time of year. Remember, you will need to choose someone to read this during the Final Liturgy today!

Be as creative as you can and let’s make our Final Liturgy today truly awesome! You might like to include some of the awesome memories that you have of the staff that will be leaving this summer as an opportunity to thank them for everything that they have done for The Becket School.
