On Sunday 24th September staff from the Becket School, along with various friends and supporters, gathered bright and early to set off for the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottingham. Amongst us were staff ready to complete both the mini and half marathon all in aid of our Trust Charity project – Building Hope in Bunkpurugu.
Everyone did an amazing job to tackle the routes, especially with so many people feeling under the weather or with various training injuries! We couldn’t have hoped for better weather with lots of lovely sunshine to keep spectators and supporters in good spirits to cheer on the Team as they made their way around the course.
If you would like to pass on your congratulations to the Team then you can make donations to the project via the link below. Every contribution makes a big difference towards our total and helps us to reach our next goal of raising money towards the walls and roof of the school building. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Team along the way!
The next fundraiser will be our 5k run at The Becket School on Friday 29th September – please support the staff and students as they put their running shoes on once again to support the community in Bunkpurugu!
