“The one who believes in me will also do the works that I do, in fact will do greater works than these”. (John 14:12)
Throughout the Gospels we are constantly witnessing Jesus’ miracles: turning water into wine, healing the sick, casting out demons, making the blind see, making the lame walk, calming storms, walking on water, feeding the 5000 and many more.
What is your favourite Miracle?
If you could perform one today what would it be and why?
Miracles are radical by their very nature and play a central role in Jesus’ ministry.
However, Jesus’ miracles were also ordinary as they were simple and practical just like his teachings. They were:
Of real service to people
Required no great effort
An extension of who Jesus was
Not performed to impress
You Are Surrounded By Miracles
It is easy to place all the miracles Jesus performed in a far-off place with people you never knew. But miracles are also here now with us every day. Our sins being forgiven even though we are likely to sin again. Jesus’ wants to bring the miracle of his love to others. The Gospels invite us to do small things with great love. Think of all the prayers people pray every day. We can answer most prayers by continuing to cooperate with God by recognising people’s needs and pain. There are so many prayers that God wants to use us to answer but sometimes they get unanswered because we do not allow the Holy Spirit to guide us.
Whose prayer can you be the answer to today?
Lord Jesus, I come before Thee, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In Thy Name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give Thee my entire self, Lord Jesus, I accept Thee as my Lord God and Saviour. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.
Come Lord Jesus, cover me with Thy Precious Blood, and fill me with Thy Holy Spirit, I love Thee Lord Jesus, I praise Thee Lord Jesus, I thank Thee Jesus, I shall follow Thee every day of my life. Amen.
Mary, My Mother, Queen of Peace, all the Angels and Saints, please help me. Amen.
