On Friday 16th February Staff from across the whole of the South Nottingham Catholic Academy Trust gathered at The Becket School for a day based on spirituality, health and well-being.
The day began with prayer, joyful singing and some inspiring words of wisdom from the Chair of The Becket Governing Body and Trustee of the Trust, Les Sullivan who reminded staff of why their work is so important and how it can truly make a difference to the lives of the young people in our care.
Throughout the day staff followed the example of Jesus, who often took time out to rest and pray, and took part in a variety of workshops that helped to renew their spirits and gave them ideas and strategies of how they might deal with the challenges that are sometimes part of their work. Our thanks go to the many providers who came into school to work with staff and gave some fantastic insight and advice!
Our day ended with a joyful and prayerful Mass which was celebrated by Fr Paul and left us ready to enjoy the half term break and renewed to tackle the rest of the year ahead.
Thank you to everyone for their hard work towards this day and for the enthusiasm of all the staff who participated!
