God created us all equal – not all the same. Each and every person is an unique and special creation of God and this week we need to celebrate all of the things that make us who we are and that make other people individual. We are told that being ‘different’ is bad and that we should be ‘normal’ but there is no such thing as normal! Take some time to find the things we love about the people around us and praise and celebrate them for their individuality.

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

Check out this week’s ‘Word of the Week’ we start filming with forms this week – thank you for signing up! There are however, lots of forms that haven’t signed up yet you can still reserve your word by following the link below.

As you heard in the video – any team or form is made of lots of individual things that make the whole more amazing! Write down all of the individual things that your form has to offer and display it proudly in your windows!

Lord, thank you for making us who we are. Amen.

We finish with the Sign of the Cross.

We’re going to try something a bit different this morning for our morning prayer. We want you to turn the lights out, shut the blinds or do whatever you can to make it nice and chilled in your form room.

Sit for a minute with your eyes closed and try and have a few moments in silence. When everything is nice and relaxed play the song below and just listen to the words. Keep your eyes closed. When the songs finished open your eyes and see what everybody was thinking about during the song.

It’s really difficult to have a few moments of prayer and peace in school but your mission is to try and make it all the way through the song and have a peaceful start to your day!

Lord, help us to be happy with who we are. Amen.

We finish with the Sign of the Cross.

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

Thursday mornings are about doing things together as a whole school community. This morning we’re going to try and get the whole community doing something at EXACTLY the same time. Check out the clock below, it’s synced to the internet so it should be displaying the same time in every classroom.

We’re going to try and pray this prayer about individuality by Blessed Cardinal Henry Newman:

God has created me to do Him some definite service.
He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another.
I have my mission.
I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next.
I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons.
He has not created me for naught. I shall do good;
I shall do His work.
I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place, while not intending it if I do but keep His commandments.

Therefore, I will trust Him, whatever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him, in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him. If I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain.

He knows what He is about.

Start praying it out loud at 8:55am exactly and open your doors! Hopefully you’ll be able to hear the other forms praying it too!

We’re back with our Friday Scripture Reflection – Have a watch below!

Lord, help us to listen to your word and hear your voice in our lives. Amen
