Awe and wonder is an amazing gift of the Holy Spirit! It’s the ability to see the incredible things God has created and not take them for granted. How easy is it for us to get bored and stop appreciating how lucky we are to have a beautiful world, an amazing school and people who love us? This week try and look again at those things which maybe you don’t fully appreciate. How can you celebrate what is really awesome in your life?!

Notices

  • There will be lots of end of term celebrations this week including your achievement assemblies!

Our school is full of Awesome people!

Whether it’s our classmates, our teachers or all of the other staff that support us everyday, there are so many people who we have to thank because, without them, we wouldn’t have the same school experience that we’ve had this year.

Today is about thanking the people in our school community for being awesome. Take a few moments to put the scripture below into action and (using a post-it note or some paper) write a thank you to someone who has been awesome this year.

I thank my God for you every time I think of you; and every time I pray for you all, I pray with joy because of the way in which you have helped me in the work of the gospel from the very first day until now.

Wow what a year! The last day of term is finally here!

Today is an opportunity to gather together and to celebrate everything that has been awesome about this year!

Each form is being asked to prepare their reflections on what has been awesome throughout the year so that we can bring these ideas together during our Final Liturgy today.

Look at the information below to see which part of the school year your House has been allocated to. Each form needs to prepare a few lines that reflect what has been awesome for your year group during that time of year. Remember, you will need to choose someone to read this during the Final Liturgy today! Remember to make it special to your year group!

Be as creative as you can and let’s make our Final Liturgy today truly awesome! You might like to include some of the awesome memories that you have of the staff that will be leaving this summer as an opportunity to thank them for everything that they have done for The Becket School.
