We come to school to learn, but we learn so much more than you can ever find in a text book. We learn
how to live and grow as people, we learn about Jesus and we learn about ourselves. Think about the biggest
lessons you’ve learnt in your life and how you’ve changed because of them. What could you learn this week
about your faith?
Welcome to everyone on your first full week of this academic year. Over the next few weeks you’ll be getting lots of information about the extra curricular groups you can join. Be sure to get involved in as much as possible, it’s a great way to make friends and get the most out of your time here at All Saints’!
We have our first mass taking place in the drama hall during form-time on Friday – all are welcome!
Sixth form: Lourdes letters are outside Vicki’s office if you’re interested in joining the team!
As we welcome loads of new members of the All Saints’ family its important that we get to know each other.
To be able to fully welcome people we need to get to know them. In your forms now take some time to answer this questions:
The best memory over the summer holiday?
The thing you are most looking forward to this year?
How can we act out our faith to welcome others?
Let us know your answers in the comments below. Remember to start your comments with your school and then form group 🙂
We end by making the Sign of the Cross.
We start with the Sign of the Cross.
Click on the Liturgical colour wheel link below. Take a look at the wheel. You will see that, like the academic year, it doesn’t run from January to December. The liturgical year begins with Advent. Nominate someone in your from group who will now make sure that all of the resouces that should be on your form board are there. Have you got your:
Picture of the Pope and Bishop
Your Mission statement and Mission prayer.
Is your liturgical colour wheel up and your arrow pointing to the right time of year?
