The Word of the Week is Learning!

Welcome back everyone! We have been really looking forward to seeing you and welcoming you back into our school building safely.

It’s OK to feel excited, it’s OK to feel nervous, it’s OK to feel both! All of your staff are here to support you and guide you through this journey.

Our Faith gives us the chance to learn so much more than you can ever find in a text book. It helps us to learn how to live and grow as people. When we learn about Jesus we can also learn about ourselves.

Think about the biggest lessons you’ve learnt in your life and how you’ve changed because of them. What could you do this week to learn more about your faith?

Click on the different tabs below to explore this week’s prayer resources. We hope you have a great week!

Remember to comment in the comments box below and let us know how you get on in your form groups 🙂

Let us start our prayer by making the Sign of the Cross.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the gift of learning, for our school, for our staff and for our access to education.

Help us to make the most of the opportunities we are given and to thrive in our opportunity to learn new things every day.

May we be kind and loving and help others in learning more about you.

Amen

We end our prayer by making the Sign of the Cross.

We hope you have a great Monday!

This week we are reflecting on learning, on Monday we learnt about some of our new staff, today we are going to learn some more about our form groups by answering some questions.

Let us start our prayer by making the Sign of the Cross.

Today, in the Catholic Church we celebrate the Blessed Mary’s Birthday! Mary’s birth was a blessing not only to her parents, but the entire world! She was born uniquely free from sin — the Immaculate Conception.

As we celebrate Mary today we turn to her to ask for her help and to thank her for being our guide in trusting God, wherever that may take us.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death.

Amen.

We end our prayer by making the Sign of the Cross.

Welcome to this week’s Act of Worship!

For now, Act’s of Worship will take place in your form rooms during one of your form times every week via the Be Inspirational Prayer Resources.

Each AoW will link to a different theme and be led by someone different, this may be your chaplains, your teachers, your progress leaders or fellow students!

As always, please be respectful to the people around you during Act’s of Worship and get involved with as much as you can and feel comfortable to.

You can be as creative as you like with group actions and how you prepare for your AoW’s in your form rooms e.g. with music, lighting and a prayer focus at the front of the room.

Take a few moments to gather your thoughts before we begin our Act of Worship…
