It doesn’t take long for things to feel very familiar. For those people coming back for another year it might feel like you’ve never been away and for those people who’ve joined our community, hopefully, things are starting to feel a bit more normal!
The ‘Word of the Week’ this is “Change”. We’ve all been through a change coming back but it’s time to start thing about the changes we want to make in our lives too. God loves us so much that we always have the power to make positive changes in our lives in the world around us. Whether that’s a change in our climate as Pope Francis recently called for, or a change in our attitude and our own lives – our faith and our God inspires us to do the right thing.
This week we’re also starting filming for our new music video. For those new to the school – every September we try to capture what makes our school so special and put it altogether in a music video. If you want to get involved come down to the chapel at any breaks and lunch time!
(Don’t forget Thursday’s is still PSHCE so check that out at the bottom of the page too!)
The ‘Word of the Week’
Pope Francis has called Christians to act to help those in need but…[total-poll id=7295]
Over the week give each person a chance to vote and then on Friday have a look at the results!
We should use the money and resources we have to help British people in need before helping those in other countries – Discuss!
Each day you’ll be able to see what other people are thinking in the other forms and have a chance to respond with your thoughts/comments. Come back to the discussion each morning if you can!
What’s one change you can make in your life that would make a difference to others?
Each day when you’ve finished your discussion/activities spend a few moments in silence to think about the day ahead.
If anybody has anything or anyone they would lie to pray for then don’t be afraid to share this with everyone before your end your form time AoW.
You might even want to create a prayer box that you can put intentions into each week if you don’t feel like saying it out loud.
This year we want to bring the Word of God to life on a Friday morning to help us reflect and understand scripture a little bit better, so with the help of our school community a different person each week will read our Gospel and share what it means to them.
